To deepen the understanding of Chu culture among Chinese and foreign students and build a bridge for cross-cultural communication, on November 30, 2025, the International Education School of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law organized Chinese and foreign students to visit the Hubei Provincial Museum and conduct a cultural exploration activity with the theme of "Chu Charm・Global Ties ".
During the activity, the students visited precious cultural relics such as the Zeng Hou Yi Chime Bells and the Sword of King Goujian of Yue. Under the detailed interpretation of the tour guide, they learned about the historical context of the Chu and Han regions and the romantic story of King Liangzhuang and his concubine Wei,by observing the standardized regulations of bronze ritual vessels and the musical aesthetics of ancient musical instruments, one can directly perceive the spiritual traits of Chu culture, namely "inclusive and innovative".
The students sometimes stood still to gaze at the details of the relics, sometimes asked questions to the guide, sometimes exchanged their insights, and sometimes captured the moment when they encountered the relics with their mobile phones. Different languages of astonishment and discussion mixed together. International students were deeply impressed by the ancient Chinese bronze civilization, and Chinese students also deepened their understanding of their own local culture through cross-cultural exchanges.
This event is linked by the Jingchu culture, allowing international students to appreciate the charm of China's excellent traditional culture, and also helping Chinese students enhance their cultural confidence. The International Education School will continue to take Wuhan regional culture as the starting point, planning more immersive and interactive cultural experience activities, enabling Chinese and foreign students to deepen their understanding and narrow the gap through cultural exploration, and cultivating international talents with both cultural confidence and global vision.
