The winner of the first prize, JAMBALDORJ BUJINLKHAM, presented a deep interpretation of Li Bai's classic poem "Seeing Meng Haoran Off at Yellow Crane Tower" under the title "Fireworks Carry Dreams, Solitary Sails Convey Emotions". She started from the core images such as "fireworks" and "solitary sail", meticulously dissected the profound friendship between Li Bai and Meng Haoran in the poem, and at the same time, combined her own cross-cultural experiences to vividly convey the feelings of reluctance and melancholy contained in the verses, vividly interpreting the poetic sentiment that "all scenic descriptions are expressions of emotions". Her solid Chinese language foundation, rigorous interpretation logic, and sincere emotional expression enabled her to stand out among many contestants and successfully win the first prize in the international student category.

In the concurrent "Read China" Chinese Classic Reading Competition, international students from our university also performed well. The Ghanaian student BIMPONG-DONKOR NAANA NHYIRA delivered a touching performance of Zhu Ziqing's classic essay "Hurry", and ultimately won the third prize at the national level. In addition, a team composed of CHILLA MOKOM ROMEO, a postgraduate student from Cameroon in the School of Business Administration, JAMBALDORJ BUJINLKHAM, an undergraduate student from Mongolia, KONONOVA ELIZAVETA, an undergraduate student from Russia in the School of Journalism, and NNABUIKE SUNDAY CHISOM, a postgraduate student from Nigeria, jointly recited the contemporary poem "Chinese Language", conveying their love for the Chinese language with sincere emotions and won the national excellence award.
