On December 11, 2025, during the exchange visit to Vietnam, the 7th “Zueler Alumni Talk” was held.Dr. TRAN THI THANH THUY, analumniwho once studied for a doctorate in criminal law at ZUEL, currently serves as a faculty member at the University of Foreign Trade, Vietnam, was invited as the speaker. She made remarkable achievements in legal research and talent cultivation, has become an important bridge for educational and cultural exchanges between China and Vietnam.
Dr. TRAN THI THANH THUY recalled her years of study and personal growth at our university. Drawing on her own professional experience, she shared her work experience at Vietnamese universities and career development pathways in the field of law.
She offered practical advice from multiple perspectives, including cultural adaptation, academic planning and career choices. She stressed that during their studies in China, Vietnamese students should not only acquire solid professional knowledge but also gain an in-depth understanding of Chinese culture and society, which will become a unique competitive advantage for their future development.
She also actively encouraged Vietnamese youth to seize the opportunity to study in China, broaden their international horizons, and contribute to Vietnam’s development as well as the friendly relations between China and Vietnam.
