On the evening of December 19th, CCPC held the sixth phase of Cultural Salon "HELLO WORLD"-"Tour of the Taste buds" in Baiyue Bookstore, which attracted more than 60 Chinese and foreign students. Students from Italy, Poland, Azerbaijan and Russia took turns on the stage, leading everyone into the unique cultural world of Europeanand Asiancountries through wonderful explanations and presentations.

Italy is like a boot, and its 20 regions are amazing with their unique cuisine and customs.Italian students present a series of mouth-watering food images such as "Trofie with Pesto" in the north, "Lasagna" in the center, and "Pizza Margherita" in the south, among others, while also introducing the Italian specialty drink "Aperol Spritz."The students felt as if they were in the streets and alleys of Italy, feeling the rich atmosphere of food culture. In addition, the Italian delegates demonstrated some expressive Italian gestures, such as "Mamma mia" to express surprise, and the lively and interesting interaction drew laughter from the audience.

Polish student introduced the basic national conditions of Poland, including information about its capital Warsaw, a population of 37 million, and a land area of 312,000 square kilometers, which provided the students with a preliminary understanding of Poland. During the food segment, traditional Polish dishes such as "Gołąbki" (cabbage rolls), "Kotlet schabowy" (breaded pork chop), and "PIEROGI" (Polish dumplings) allowed everyone to experience the unique flavors of Polish cuisine. The unique cultural phenomena of Poland also became highlights of the event, such as the distribution of the highest number of churches in Europe, the method of film narration, and the officially confirmed highest blood alcohol content record, which sparked enthusiastic discussions among the students.

Azerbaijani student described the origin of Azerbaijan as the "Land of Fire," where ancient hearths bear witness to the history of Zoroastrianism. Fire symbolizes warmth, light, and purification in its culture. Today, the element of fire is widely applied in national symbols, architectural designs, and impressive landscapes such as the Flame Towers and Burning Mountain. In terms of cultural arts, items like "Kelaghayi" (traditional headscarf) and "Buta ornament" (traditional patterns) showcase Azerbaijan's unique folk customs. In cuisine, traditional dishes such as "Dovga" (yogurt soup) and "Qutab" (meat pie) reflect its characteristic blend of diverse cultures, while traditional sweets made from various nuts, like "Shekerbura" (sugar pie), also attract the attention of many students.

Russian students highlighted the magnificent natural landscapes across Russia's vast territory, such as having 11 time zones, the highest peak in Europe, Mount Elbrus, and the world's deepest lake, Lake Baikal. Russian cuisine, including "Borshch," "Vareniki," and "Kulich," exudes a rich local flavor. They also showcased Russia's remarkable achievements in fields such as ballet and space exploration, with an interactive segment where simple Russian vocabulary and the amusing tongue twister "У ежа ежата, у ужа ужата" encouraged active participation from the students.

After tasting the delicious food, the interesting game segment followed closely. The games were themed around European cultural knowledge, featuring various formats such as quizzes and riddles. The students actively participated in answering questions, and the scene was filled with laughter and joy. Through the games, everyone further deepened their memory and understanding of the cultures of various European countries.

The cultural salon "Taste Buds in Europe" not only provides a platform for Chinese and foreign students to show and communicate, but also promotes the exchange and integration between different cultures. Through the common language of gastronomy, the students enhanced their understanding and friendship with each other and spent an unforgettable feast of gastronomic culture together. In the future, CCPC will continue to carefully plan a series of cultural activities to provide more opportunities and platforms for cultural exchange and promote the diversified development of campus culture.
