On the morning of December 12, 2024, IESorganized a Chinese classroom cultural practice activity, leading students to visit the Museum of Chinese Accounting History. More than fifty international students from countries such as Thailand and Vietnam actively participated in this event.

The Museumand Academy of Chinese Accounting History, the first professional museum of accounting history constructed under the leadership of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, systematically collects and organizes accounting history artifacts and materials using modern technology. The museum comprehensively displays the development history of accounting in China from ancient times to modern times, with exhibitions of Chinese accounting historical documents as the mainstay and foreign accounting historical documents as supplements.

Students gained an understanding of ancient Chinese calculators—abaci, ancient banks—draft banks, and the world's first paper money—Jiaozi. They developed a deeper understanding of China's accounting history and had more intuitive experiences of the ancient calculators derived from it.

"Exploring Museum, Understanding Accounting " is one of the "Chinese+" series of practical classesin our school, whichadopt the "Chinese + Practice" model to enhance international students' Chinese experiences, expand their knowledge of China, shape their Chinese perspectives, disseminate excellent traditional Chinese culture, and tell China's stories well. It is an essential part of our university's "Chinese + N" training model for international students.
