In order to improve students' language learning ability and provide a good language learning environment for Chinese and international students, the Center for Intercultural Communication Practice (CCPC) held a language corner activity with the theme of "Elementary Language Learning, Express Yourself" on November 18. This activity was planned by the Academic Department of CCPC and assisted by various departments through ice-breaking sessions, group language learning, sharing results and other links to experience the fun of language exchange.

The event was chaired by Lisa (Russian), Deputy Minister of Academic Affairs, and at the beginning of the event, the moderator introduced the theme and process of the event and extended a warm welcome to the Chinese and international students who participated in the language corner activity.

As we engaged in interesting ice-breaking games, students gradually entered a state of interaction, getting to know each other.

After a very interesting alphabet game to complete the ice-breaking session, the language corner activity officially began. This language corner focused on primary language learning with the theme of self-expression. Participants divided themselves into three groups. Each member introduced themselves within their group (including their name, country, and languages they are proficient in). After grouping, the primary language of each group became the main language for the day. Participants learned simple vocabulary such as hello/goodbye/yes/no/sorry/thank you/please, good morning/good afternoon/good evening, etc. The atmosphere on-site was very pleasant, and everyone enjoyed the lively interaction.

After the group had learned the basic simple vocabulary, each group sent two members to share what they had learned that day, and the members did a great job of demonstrating the charm of different languages.

After the event, the students took a group photo to record this beautiful moment.

Language serves as a crucial medium for exchanging information. Learning a language not only facilitates communication but also promotes interaction and deepens friendships between Chinese and foreign students. Through mastering simple language expressions, individuals can experience the joy of expressing themselves and connecting with others.
