I. About ZUEL:

Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL) is an institute of higher education directly administrated by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China with economics, law, and management as its core disciplines and coordinated with other six disciplines including philosophy, literature, history, science, engineering, and art. ZUEL is also one of the universities sponsored by “211 project” and “985 Project Innovation Platform”, and has been selected into the list of universities and colleges which will participate in the country’s construction plan of world-class universities and world-class disciplines (‘Double World-Class’ ). ZUEL is composed of two campuses, one (the Nanhu campus) is located in the bank of picturesque Nanhu Lake, another lies at the foot of historic site-Yellow Crane Tower. ZUEL is a Chinese Government Scholarship receiving institution and also offers University Scholarship to excellent international students. ZUEL welcome students from all over the world.

(2) Chinese Language Program

The International Education School organizes language-teaching classes at elementary, intermediate and advanced levels. Students will be placed in certain classes by taking a proficiency test. One class is usually composed of 15-20 students. The spring semester starts in February, and the fall semester starts in September.There are 18 weeks of language courses per semester with 20 hours per week.Students are able to choose one or two optional courses according to their interests and Chinese language ability.A cultural tour will be arranged every semester.

(3)Chinese Language Online Courses: The program is designed for Chinese beginners and mainly focuses on "Experience Chinese", students can speak Chinese after attending this program which contains 48 class hours in two months.  The online teaching platforms will be ClassIn,Tencent meeting and so on.

III. Application Period:

Application period for Fall semester: from 1^st,March to 15^th,June.

Application period for Spring semester: from 1^st, October to 15^th, December.(previous year)

IV. Application Documents:

Requirement ofApplication Documents

1.The color scanned passport, including the information page and its previous page, should be as clear and complete.

2.The name shall be the same as that in the passport.Abbreviations or omissions of the middle name are not allowed. If there is no family name or first name, please leave it with a blank, ‘-’ or ‘.’.

3.An applicant already in China shall submit color scanned visa within the validity period with the latest entry stamp.

4.Registration photo. It’s requested a registration photo with a white background and no border, size 100-500KB, JPG format.

5.An applicant under the age of 18 shall submit the legal documents of his/her legal guardian(s) in China.

6.An applicant shall fill in all the study and work experiences from high school so far without gaps. (If applicants have military service, please list the period of it)

7.An applicant shall submit either scanned diploma or certificate of the highest degree. If the degree certificate is not acquired yet, the previously acquired academic certificate shall be submitted. (Any other relevant documents are unacceptable).If the diploma or degree certificate has not be obtained, it will not be admitted.If the academic certificate or graduation certificate is non-English or Chinese, the original shall be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

8.The highest level of education shall be the previously acquired degree.

9.Academic transcripts :transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English shall be attached with original transcripts and notarized Chinese or English translations.

10.Foreigner Physical Examination Form . (downloaded from http://ies-en.zuel.edu.cn/2018/0104/c2226a184470/page.htm, written in Chinese or English) The physical examinations must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.

11.Language requirement. For Chinese-taught programs: Undergraduates should submit HSK4 Certificate; master's students and doctoral students should submit certificate HSK5. For English-taught programs: TOEFL: 80 or IELTS: 6.0 and above is required or the certificate of previous degree program which is taught in English.

12.Recommendation letters (written in Chinese or English). Applicants for the graduate programs, senior and general scholar programs shall submit two recommendation letters signed by professors.

13.A Study Plan or Research Proposal (written in Chinese or English). This should be a minimum of 2000 words.

14.Non-criminal record report. The applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.

15.Other documents, such as published papers, award certificates, work or internship certificates, can also be submitted in the form of attachments.  

16.Self-introduction video. Contents include :(1) Self-introduction; (2) Understanding of China; (3) Study plan in China. Formats: AVI, Move, MP4. The file should be within 50Mb and less than 120 seconds in length according to the teaching language of the applied major.

Note:

1.All materials uploaded through the system must be clear, true and valid.  It is recommended that the applicant use professional equipment to scan the relevant documents to be submitted. The applicant shall bear the consequences caused by unclear or unidentifiable materials uploaded; 

2.ZUEL does Not accept any hard-copy application documents;.

3.Admission documents will be sent to the address specified in the "Permanent Address" column of the application form. Please keep the information accurate and do not provide the post office address;  

4.Please bring the originals of all the above-mentioned documents when you register .Those who provide a prospective diploma certificate must bring the original official graduation certificate for verification;

5.Please contact ZUEL directly, ZUEL does Not entrust any individual or agent for enrollment.

V. Application Procedure:

1.Applying online: An applicant shall log in the International Student Online Service System of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (http://iesmis.zuel.edu.cn/member/login.do) fill in the application information and pay the application fees (Chinese Language Online Courses unnecessary pay the application fees). The application fee is RMB 500, and the payment method is remittance. Once the application fees is paid, it will not be refunded. After the application fees is paid successfully, applicant needs to upload the certificate of remittance to the application system as an attachment, and then submit the application materials.

2.Qualification Verification: Login in your online application account to check your application status.
