2020 Chinese Government Scholarship- Sino-U.S. Students Program

In order to consolidate the achievement of high level cultural exchanges, to encourage further cooperation between China and the United States and to attract more outstanding American students, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law is entrusted to undertake the enrollment of “Sino-U.S. Students Scholarship” for undergraduate and graduate programs.

I. Program:
Undergraduate (Bachelor)
Graduate (Master and Doctor)

II.Eligibility:

1.Applicants must be a citizen of United States, and be in good health.

2.Good scientific research ability.

3.Educational background and age limitsbefore 1st, September, 2020 

(1) Bachelor's programs: hold a high school diploma or above and be under the age of 25;

(2) Master's programs: hold a bachelor's degree or above and be under the age of 35;

(3) Doctoral programs: hold a master's degree or above and be under the age of 40.

IV. Scholarship Coverage:

The program provides a full scholarship which covers tuition waiver, accommodation, stipend (undergraduate student: 2500RMB/month; master’s students: 3000RMB/month; doctoral students 3500RMB/month), and comprehensive medical insurance. International travel expenses and other related expenses are NOT included.

V.Application Documents:
1.Applicants shall complete online application at https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login, (Program Category: Type B; Agency No. of ZUEL: 10520) and print out the Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarships. The Scholarships Application Form should be completed in Chinese or English and signed by the applicant.

2.A photocopy of personal information page of the passport, and it should be valid until Sep. 30. 2020.

3.Notarized highest diploma.Prospective diploma recipients must submit official document issued by your current school to prove your current student status or expected graduation date. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
4.Academic transcripts (written in Chinese or English); transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

5.A study plan or research proposal (written in Chinese or English).
6.Two Recommendation Letters (written in Chinese or English). Applicants for undergraduate program and postgraduate program must submit two letters of recommendation signed by professors or associate professors, in Chinese or English(signature and contact information are necessary).

7.Applicants must submit Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy) written in English. (downloaded from http://ies.zuel.edu.cn/2018/0428/c766a190293/page.htm ) The physical examinations must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.

8.For Chinese-taught bachelor programs: students should submit HSK3 or above certificate.

For Chinese-taught postgraduate programs: students should submit HSK4 or above certificate.

For English-taught programs: students should submit TOEFL: 80 ,IELTS: 6.0. or other English certificates. If English is your first language, no need to hand in English Certificate.

★ Please note that whether or not the application is successful, the application documents will not be returned.


VI.Admission Procedure:
1.Complete the online application procedure. Agency Number: 10520(typeB).
2.All application documents should be emailed to admissions@zuel.edu.cn to complete the scholarship admission.

3.A comprehensive review will be conducted on applicant's academic record, language proficiency, overall merits, research achievements and their prospective supervisor's comments. The shortlisted candidates will be submitted to China Scholarship Council for final approval.

The final results will be published at http://ies.zuel.edu.cn/main.htm. Scholarships awardee will be notified via email. Admission Notices and Visa Application Forms for Study (JW201) will be sent out afterwards.
